Bee.Net is a trading name of George Bathurst (pictured right) who has been in this business since 2004. He originally founded Teletoddler, which specialises in providing secure webcams to day nurseries, enabling parents who are at work to log in to see their children at the nursery. At customer request, business subsequently expanded to offer access control, extending the secure web services to offer physical security to premises as well. To support this and further investment in biometric readers, the company successfully raised £0.5 million of venture capital in 2007.
Previously, George Bathurst worked for Hewlett Packard in Bracknell, as first a technical consultant and then the marketing manager for HP’s software business. Before that George worked for Mars UK and his first job was as a scientist for the Admiralty Research Agency, commissioning special fit submarine sonars and conducting sea-trials.
George was formerly a councillor for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and the lead member for Policy & Performance. He is also the founder and managing director of the Windsor Link Railway. To ask George a question or to find out more about Bee.Net or our products please get in touch.
