A big mistake we see some companies making, however, is confusing compliance with cyber security. What do we mean by that? It’s that although compliance activities can often help security and to build trust with new clients they are not enough on their own. Instead we advise our clients to focus on their key enterprise risks. This will help them link cyber security to business outcomes and help management to make decisions on where best to invest scarce resources.
